OTA Rollout Phases

OTA stands for “over-the-air”. Just like updating the operating system of your smartphone, Rivian sends out software updates to their electric vehicle (EV) fleets over the internet. I am the Lead Designer for the OTA rollout feature. We created and prototyped the experience where users can roll out OTA updates to groups of vehicles in multiple phases. The design solution helps automate the process of OTA update with increased control and flexibility.
